Gem Pathways Initiative

This is a strategic partnership program that connects schools, industry, and communities to prepare adolescents and young people for successful transitions from education to meaningful work and healthy adulthood. Through formal collaborations, advocacy, experiential learning, mentorship, and wellbeing support, the initiative creates real opportunities for youth to thrive beyond the classroom. This program implements the recommendations from the Gem Leadership Conference.

The is built on the Back to School Project; a practical, high-impact pipeline for translating educational access into long-term opportunity within this partnership framework. By restoring over 40 vulnerable children to school across Gbessa and Karonmajigi, the initiative not only prevents dropout but repositions young people on a path toward future employability and economic participation. Through strategic collaboration with education authorities, targeted financial support, and community-driven identification systems, the project ensures that the most at-risk learners are not left behind. As it scales toward reaching 100 children, it provides a replicable model for linking access to education with broader systems of mentorship, skills development, and career readiness—ultimately strengthening the transition from classroom learning to meaningful work and productive adulthood.
